Get ready for a new chapter in the Bridget Jones story. The newest novel in the beloved chick-lit series chronicling the adventures of a hapless single-lady Londoner will hit shelves in November 2013.

Author Helen Fielding is not giving away any details about the plot. Per a news release by publisher Alfred A. Knopf:

“My life has moved on,” says Fielding, “and Bridget’s will move on, too.” The story will be set in present-day London, with Bridget at a later stage in her life. “I hope people will have as much fun reading it, as I am writing it.”

The first novel, Bridget Jones’s Diary—inspired by Fielding’s popular column for The Independent about single women in their 30s—was published in 1996; the follow-up, Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, came out in 1999. The two books have sold more than 15 million copies in 40 countries and were adapted into a pair of blockbuster films with Renée Zellweger, Hugh Grant, and Colin Firth playing Bridget and her romantic interests.
