Readers, “can you handle this?”

Beyoncé announced Thursday on her Tumblr that she’s teamed up with Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland of Destiny’s Child to produce Love Songs, a compilation of romance tracks that the group recorded between 1997 and 2004, such as “Cater 2 U,” “Now That She’s Gone” and their cover of the Bee Gees’s “Emotion.” But they will debut a new song, “Nuclear,” co-written by Pharrell Williams and Michelle Williams and featuring Beyoncé on vocals. Also look out for Timbaland’s remix of “Say My Name.” Love Songs is due out Jan. 29 and will be the group’s second compilation, following Playlist: The Very Best of Destiny’s Child, which came out in 2012.

“I AM SO PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THE FIRST ORIGINAL DESTINY’S CHILD MUSIC IN EIGHT YEARS!” Beyoncé exclaimed on her Tumblr.

Rowland went on to produce two albums, Ms. Kelly in 2007 and Here I Am in 2011. Michelle Williams has put out three solo albums, but also performs in musicals: Aida on Broadway, Chicago in London and The Color Purple. In fact, Jan. 29 will be a big day for Williams; she is also expected to perform that night with the cast of the Tony Award-winning musical Fela!, as part of the tour’s opening show in Washington, D.C. (Beyoncé’s husband Jay-Z is one of the show’s producers.) And soon after Love Songs’s release, Beyoncé will perform at the 2013 Super Bowl halftime show with her Destiny’s Child bandmates on Feb. 3, according to US Weekly. An HBO documentary about her career will air on Feb. 16.
