The film is about a Goody Two-Shoes Lego figure named Emmet (Pratt), who is mistaken for a savior of sorts by a charming Lucy (Brie) and gets dragged into a quest to stop an evil dictator from controlling the universe. Lucy has a secret as well. A mystic, Vitruvius (Freeman), and a character named Batman (Arnett) tag along for the ride. The villains are President Business (Ferrell), a tyrannical businessman, and his henchman Bad Cop (Neeson), who try to thwart Emmet in every way possible. Offerman (Parks and Recreation) plays a “craggy, swaggering” pirate who is plotting revenge against President Business.

The film will be produced by Dan Lin (Sherlock Holmes) and Roy Lee (The Departed) and directed by the 21 Jump Street team of Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, who also wrote and directed the Golden Globe–nominated Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. Lord and Miller wrote the Lego screenplay along with Dan and Kevin Hageman.

Lego should stick to interactive mediums like video games

It's a bloody movie about Lego figurines not a classroom propaganda film, relax..

@Rhettimus  - So why do you think it is a good idea to attack the good to make it bad and ignore evil to make it more palatable?  Why not attack communism?  Then you would have a true bad guy plus give the added benefit of educating youth to real evil. Look around you, the world we are creating now is because of attitudes such as yours. Even little decisions have consequences. Why not make a good one?

Anyone who has purchased Lego previously can understand how they can afford to produce a movie with such an All Star cast--b/c it's ridiculously expensive!
