The pneumatic arm was used in The Dark Knight, not Batman Begins. It was used at the beginning of the movie when he captures Scarecrow.

 Correct, it's a memorable scene also because he fights off Batman-copycats in the same fight (as mentioned, he bends the gun barrel of one in particular) which could not have happened in Batman Begins.
