Cruise’s first marriage, to actress (and now professional poker player) Mimi Rogers, didn’t last even three years. The two wed in May 1987—Emilio Estevez served as Cruise’s best man—but they divorced in February 1990. Rogers reportedly introduced Cruise to the Church of Scientology, rekindling his interest in organized religion and setting him on a course of rabid devotion that would later make him infamous for far more than high-profile relationships and high-budget movies.
It's interesting, shortly after Tom Cruise had his exchange with Matt Lauer we found out that Tom Cruise was right to be concerned for his friend, Brooke Shields. Paxil, the drug Brooke Shields was using and promoted, got it's Black Box Warning about its side effect of increased risk of suicide. Today we have law firms taking GlaxoSmithKline, the manufactuer to court for the drug's problem with birth defects. So I guess Tom Cruise should continue to speak out against the real dangers of psychiatric drugs and keep caring for his friends.
where does he go from here?... to FINALLY announce his gay life... nothing else, what else, is in store
