Lindsay Lohan and Elizabeth Taylor

The Associated Press reported yesterday that, proving rumors true, Lindsay Lohan will play Elizabeth Taylor in the upcoming Lifetime movie Liz & Dick. At first it may seem like an odd casting choice for a biopic about one of the most iconic movie stars of all time and a great humanitarian—Rosie O’Donnell apparently thinks it’s a “crackhead” move—but it also makes some sense. Both actresses are well known for their very early successes and for their scandalous personal lives. And scandal is Lifetime’s bread and butter.

If Liz & Dick is as successful on-screen as it is for in attracting early publicity, the network may want to repeat the formula: Taylor-level, old Hollywood star (preferably famous for legendary scandals or romances) plus young, Lohan-level starlet looking for Lifetime-type projects equals buzz.

With that in mind, TIME suggests a few potential future pairings:

Neve Campbell as Louise Brooks: Early film star Brooks made a splash for taking on out-there roles that explored female sexuality. Campbell, who shares Brooks’ shiny dark hair, made the same kind of splash — literally, considering all that water, in Wild Things.

Leighton Meester as Vivian Leigh: Vivian Leigh’s affair with then-married Laurence Olivier was legendary. She portrayed Scarlett O’Hara in Gone with the Wind, one of the most important movies about our country. Meester was in Country Strong.

Kate Bosworth as Grace Kelly: Princess Grace was, well, a princess, among many other achievements. Bosworth, whose jawline mirrors Kelly’s, was legitimately awesome in Blue Crush. That may not seem like a lot in common, but maybe handbags will play a part in this hypothetical movie: Bosworth has appeared in Coach ads and Kelly is the namesake of the legendary Hermès Kelly Bag.

Tara Reid as Doris Day: Day and Reid both rose to prominence playing perky all-American girls, and they’ve both got captivating smiles. (Reid could definitely also use the good publicity of playing the animal-rights activist.)

Evan Rachel Wood as Greta Garbo: Garbo wanted to be alone. Wood wanted to marry Marilyn Manson. It’s not a stretch that the latter, who shares the Garbo’s striking eyes, could summon the eccentricity for which Garbo was famous.

Which other actresses are destined to play an icon in a Lifetime movie? Tell us in the comments.
