In Love? Out of Love? TIME Has a Valentine’s Day Playlist for You

These two Spotify playlists will keep you company whether you're spending a romantic evening with a loved one or crying alone with your cats

Pop Quiz! Today is Valentine’s Day and:

a) You can’t wait to celebrate it with someone you love.

b) Or someone you’re just pretending to love.

c) You’re “boycotting” it by going out with your friends.

d) You’ll be spending it with tray of brownies and The Notebook.

e) It’s another painful reminder that you’ll probably going to die alone surrounded by cats.

It doesn’t matter if you answered a, b, c, or d because TIME has a Valentine’s Day playlist for you. (If you answered e…well, you have bigger problems to worry about).  We’ve put together two Spotify mixes to serve all your romantic (or non-romantic) Valentine’s Day needs:

TIME in Love will cultivate that giddy feeling you have when you meet somebody you want to share your life with.

TIME out of Love will reinforce your cynical conviction that more often than not, that giddy feeling fades and then you’re left miserable and alone. Again.

So take your pick, and let us know which playlist you prefer: the one in which Stevie Wonder says you’re sunshine of his life or the one in which the Dixie Chicks poison a low-down, terrible man named Earl.

UPDATE: Some of our readers live in countries that don’t have access to Spotify and have asked us to post the playlist some other way. The best we could do is a list, which we’ve included below:
