Tonight on IFC, Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein’s artisanal small-batch sketch comedy, Portlandia, returns for its second season, and the three episodes I’ve seen so far are at least as strong as season one. If you haven’t watched the show, which satirizes life in crunchy Portland in ways that are equally applicable to pockets of America like my own corner of Brooklyn, you could read my review from last year. Or you could just watch this clip from season 2, above, which includes a running story that will thrill Battlestar Galactica fans: Fred and Carrie get hooked on BSG through a marathon DVD viewing and try to track down Ronald Moore to write another episode. Hilarious? So say we all! (OK, at least I do.)
