Watch Now: Last Night on Conan, the Return of Triumph (and a Wedding)

Triumph the Insult Comic Dog has returned! America’s favorite foul-mouthed, cigar-smoking puppet appeared on Conan’s TBS show for the first time last night.

You see, when Conan switched stations last year, he left most of the characters from his previous shows’ sketches behind. They reportedly belonged to NBC and since Conan left under such unpleasant circumstances, his contract barred him from taking Triumph, the Horny Manatee, the Coked Up Werewolf and others with him when he left. Before last night, only one Late Night character had appeared on Conan: The Masturbating Bear.  But that’s because he simply can’t be stopped. (As if anyone would want to.)

Last night was the final show of Conan’s weeklong run in New York City (he returns to Los Angeles next week), which provided the perfect opportunity for Triumph to visit one of the city’s largest events going on right now. That’s right, Triumph infiltrated Occupy Wall Street.

He talked to the protesters (“If the police come in here, it’s going to be a serious bloodbath,” he told one man with dreadlocks and a beard, “or even worse for you, a regular bath.”) and sympathized with the Wall Street bankers (“Don’t they realize that their public educations are funded by the taxes you evade each year?”). Then he pooped on Citibank and tried to hump Wall Street’s bull statue.

The show also featured a very touching (and completely real) wedding ceremony between Conan’s longtime costume designer Scott Cronick and his partner David Gorshein. They’re in love, they tied the knot, they kissed. Conan officiated. It was beautiful. And not for anyone to poop on.
