The Police Academy Guy Who Does The Sounds Covers Led Zeppelin

Sgt. Larvelle “Motor Mouth” Jones from the Police Academy movies really knows how to rock
Michael Winslow

Michael Winslow is still making noises. The comedian and sound effect expert best known for playing Sgt. Larvelle “Motor Mouth” Jones in the Police Academy movies is still lending his bleeps, bloops, swishes and clangs to everything from Tosh.0 to a kung-fu themed iPhone app.

He recently appeared on a Norwegian talk show Senkveld  (y’know, as one does) where he performed Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love.” Another guest played guitar while Winslow provided, well, everything else in the song.  This is incredible. How does he do this?

Winslow was everywhere in the 1980s—Spaceballs, Reebok commercials—but he keeps a much lower profile these days. But Hollywood needs to bring this guy back. Surely some franchise can find a space for him. Can’t he make the truck noises for Transformers 7? Can’t they come up with a beat-boxing cargo truck or something?
