Because you’ve earned a well-deserved break from reading me, I’m going to take one for the team and go on vacation starting tomorrow. Tuned In will chug along next week, with some daily posts automatically published by Robo-James, seen here picking up some extra money in a recent modeling gig at Comic-Con. (Fair warning to shutterbugs: Robo-James is programmed to respond to flash photography with lethal force.) This is where I’d usually tell you to look for my tweets on Twitter, but I’m going to be in Costa Rica with, I suspect, limited wifi and 3G access. Not that you really need updates on my squirrel-monkey sightings.
Also, TIME culture editor Jessica Winter—a fine writer who is not as far as we know a robot—has agreed to guest-blog the next two episodes of Breaking Bad in my absence. (Sunday’s episode was being shot during my set visit in March, and it’s a fine one.)
