If we’ve learned nothing else from Hollywood, we know that we can at least rely on its absolute shameless reputation at rebooting a beloved franchise. While actor Daniel Radcliffe and company may forever occupy our minds as the true embodiments of J.K. Rowling’s magical crew, the fact that we’re on our fifth Batman proves nothing is too sacred to remake. A $6 billion series is a lucrative venture for Warner Bros., but given the chance to do it all again in 10, 20 or 30 years, the studio may just baptize a new Harry Potter. We’ve already seen musical parodies on YouTube or in local theater houses, and an animated series wouldn’t seem all that strange after the Potter golden years begin to fade off into the distance.
