He may be the Prince of Darkness, but aging goth rocker Ozzy Osbourne still has trouble getting comfortable in a kitchen chair. Starting in 2002, MTV’s The Osbournes took an intimate look into the lives of the Black Sabbath front man, his wife, Sharon, and his children, Kelly and Jack. (Daughter Aimee declined to participate.)
The Cleavers they weren’t; the family conversed with F bombs aplenty and dealt with more serious issues like drug abuse. Like their antics or not, the show propelled the family, especially Kelly and Sharon, to fame. It also set the stage for a deluge of celebrity-focused reality shows that endures today (and makes up most of VH1’s programming).
