Last week, I posted here about my anxiousness, and excitement, but mostly anxiousness, about David E. Kelley remaking Wonder Woman for NBC. If there’s one thing from the 1970s original I don’t expect to survive, sadly, it’s the extra-length theme song (above), and credits combining old-school DC Comics graphics with Schoolhouse Rock-style ’70s animation.

I’m concerned Kelley is not the man for this woman’s job, but let’s be honest: the original TV series was no masterpiece of dramatic art, and the character could certainly use a good update in modern times. And following The Cape, TV could use a good new superhero show—though it might be nice to see it stretch beyond the usual-suspect premises and characters.

I’m not up on contemporary superhero comics, though, so this is where you come in: are there any other superheroes that are ripe for remaking? Any newer superhero comics that would be perfect subject matter for a TV series?
