I’m back from my vacation, in which I managed to do something I never thought I would: escape a blizzard by driving to Michigan. I had little problem keeping up with the snow news while visiting relatives, however, as the New York City whiteout was the lead story throughout local Detroit-area TV news. That’s the great thing about being from New York: you can go on vacation, but the media helps you maintain the illusion that the world revolves around you. (Would people in Montana be hurt to learn that when you have a blizzard, it doesn’t lead the local news in NYC?)
Although I’m back, however, I’m experiencing some technical difficulties with the blog, which seems to have decided not to let me create links or embed photos or video. So blogging may be light for a while, until tech support tells me how to whack my computer, and with what size hammer, to get it working properly again.
