OK, New Year’s Day is actually tomorrow. I am posting this nonetheless because:
* It is New Year’s Eve, and why are you on the Internet at all but to blow a few minutes on a diverting music video from the ’80s
* I am old, and this U2 video reminds me of a time when I was younger, and it was played on a music-video channel called “MTV,” and the band in question was not engaged in making musicals based on Marvel comics
* The utility of fingerless gloves for outdoor bass playing is something we all need to be mindful of
* If Bono ever gets a little too big for his britches, one can always remind him that he once made a video in which he rode a horse to sing a song in the snow
