During the mentor session, Jamie Foxx asks Casey to “seduce him,” which is, um, provocative but not really brilliant advice. Memo to Mr. Foxx: “Mrs. Robinson” is not a love song! And yet I’ll give it to Casey: he sang the song really well and it was an interesting arrangement (if a little sleepy), even if the delivery was divorced from the sardonic lyrics. And, of course, bonus points for inviting the moment of awkward with judge/fan/flirt Kara.
