I think last night’s offerings are a great example of the problem NBC has with its Thursday night line up. All of the shows are good, none of them are great. I will say that Parks and Rec is my favorite of the bunch and is getting better all the time though. The other 3 though?

I’m glad to hear that Carrel is thinking about moving on from The Office. The show has had a really good run but this season they just don’t seem to know what to do. It just seems out of gas. It’s not the must see show it used to be.

30 Rock? It’s funny but there isn’t any forward momentum to the story like they’ve had in past seasons. It’s reliably funny and goofy but that’s all it is. If you miss an episode you’re not really missing out on anything.

I like Community too, especially since they figured out that making it a Joel McHale vehicle wasn’t going to work because his character isn’t likable enough. The rest of the cast is at least as good as he is (and they show it every episode) but every once in a while they slide in an ep where they try too hard like last night. I’m also kinda wondering if doing an iconic movie spoof every week is a premise that is going to wear itself out sooner rather than later…
