As I mentioned before, I’ve been away from the blog writing. And in this age of multimedia journalism, today “writing” meant “spending four hours getting to and from NBC’s studios to talk about the Jaypocalypse for about five minutes on camera.” The interview will be on the NBC Nightly News tonight; I realize you are reading this on a computer and therefore will not be watching, but if you speak to your great-grandparents, let them know.
I’m told the interview may also be used on tomorrow’s Today Show, though I don’t know when. Probably in the fourth hour somewhere after the cooking-with-Ewoks segment.
Walking to the green room, I passed by Jimmy Fallon in the hallway. He was busy doing a photo shoot or I’d have congratulated him on taking over the Tonight Show seven months from now. And given him my condolences on being replaced by Carson Daly seven months after that.
