TV Weekend 2: Big Plans, Big Love

HBO

For those of you who didn’t see the DVD last fall, Syfy airs the Battlestar Galactica prequel movie The Plan on Sunday night. Here’s my review (“curious but inessential”) from October; I’d recommend it mainly to BSG completists who can’t wait for Caprica.

Also Sunday, a Tuned In personal favorite, Big Love, returns to HBO. I’ve seen the first two episodes; they’re really good. I don’t have time to preview them at more length here (and don’t want to risk spoilage), but let’s say it quickly picks up with the conflicts and questions from the end of season 3, and I’ll have a Big Love Watch by Monday.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t remind everyone that Dollhouse continues its farewell tour with the first of the last three episodes tonight (at its old 9/8C timeslot).

Given the quality of the show recently, it is the program I’ve most anticipating this weekend.
