Fall-TV triage continues: I didn’t have time to do a full review yesterday of NBC’s painful nurse drama Mercy, and though I could have whipped up a quick pan for critical-jollies reasons, it seemed like the show had been thoroughly enough beaten up by other critics that you’d likely been warned. (I am a little surprised that the pilot, while certainly bad enough, somehow became the consensus critics’ choice this season as Show We All Totally Hate. Save something for Hank, people!)
Actually, I’d love to read a contrarian defense of Mercy here, not that I’m expecting anyone to offer one. But offer up your thoughts, or those on last night’s Modern Family, Cougar Town and Eastwick debuts, the continuation of Dancing With the Stars, &c., &c.
