I’m back in New York, but TCA press tour continues, with the various TV critics/reporters slogging through two straight weeks of it (plus, in many cases, Comic-Con). Highlights from some of their reports, as CBS began the broadcast section of press tour today:
* Ken Tucker arrived at press tour just as I was leaving, unintentional-tag-team-style. Today he blogs what may be the daffiest executive explanation I’ve heard yet: CSI viewers are uncomfortable with Laurence Fishburne because of his wardrobe, so the actor is going to change his clothes next season.
* Nina Tassler is continuing Les Moonves’ grand tradition of beating on NBC like a punching bag. Also, Craig Ferguson has got one salty Scottish mouth on him.
* DVRs? What DVRs? CBS is betting you want to use streaming video instead. No, seriously, you do.
* It’s out with Guiding Light, in with Let’s Make a Deal starring Wayne Brady. Step up or step down from hosting a karaoke show?
