The list is too vast, and my agreements and disagreements too many, to give you my applause and grievances. If you read me regularly, you probably have a pretty good sense which of these picks I love and hate; if you don’t you probably don’t care.

(Well, OK: I made a valiant effort to campaign for Big Love, which got as royally hosed by the TCA—partly, I suspect, because there are too many great actresses and they split the vote. On the other hand, Walton Goggins was an outstanding choice, even more so than Chiklis, for the final season of The Shield. “Family meeting!” I still get chills.)
