I’m turning around a last-minute column this morning, so talk amongst yourselves for a while.
About, for instance: last night, our two-night-long national nightmare ended as Speidi finally quit I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! For now. But not before Spencer Pratt declared himself and wife Heidi “the biggest celebrities in the world.” Where “world” = “the insulated bubble carefully maintained by my handlers and my personal delusions, which I cannot wait to get back to.”
After which, NBC News journeyed to Washington and got Brian Williams and a crew to spend some quality time inside the Obama White House. Where we learned: the President eats hamburgers from Five Guys! And White House staff try to spin things for the press! Tonight, NBC airs the second part, in which we are also promised a glimpse into the East Wing residence to see Barack and Michelle, not just as President and First Lady “but as husband and wife.”
I’m guessing it cannot possibly be as dirty as that description made it sound. But in any case, at least it beats Spencer and Heidi.
