The Morning After: All A-Twitter

I’ve been on Twitter for a few weeks now, long enough to have ascertained a few things:

* It’s a great repository for my observations and jokes that are too trivial and superficial even for this blog—and boy, do I have plenty of those

* Twitter is superior to Facebook, because it is better to have “followers” than “friends.”

* Twitter watches TV for me!

By that last, I mean that, if I’m watching TV with laptop or iPhone in hand and I have Twitter open, I’ll get a constant stream of updates about other shows people happen to be watching live. (Because as I’ve said before, approximately 95% of Twitter posts are about things people are watching on TV.) If there’s something I don’t want spoiled for me, I know to stay away from Twitter. No tweeting for me during Lost!

On the other hand, even though I was not watching House, I learned that something happened last night on House that you are so totally going to want to discuss. So discuss it, or the Chase/Bakula appearances on Chuck, or the NCAA championship blowout, which was what the other 5% of Twitter was concerned about last night.
