Late Night Gets More Crowded, More Married

Last night, David Letterman, late night’s most-confirmed not-really-a-bachelor bachelor, announced to his studio audience that he finally married girlfriend Regina Lasko, after 23 years. He’s just about grown-up now.

In other late-night news, TBS has announced an 11 p.m. talk show starting in November for George Lopez. Apparently they never got the memo that only white Anglo men are allowed to get late-night shows.

    Glee Watch: NYADA, NYADA, NYADA

Spoilers for the season finale of Glee below:

One beef I often have with Glee episodes is that they move too fast, go in too many directions, try to cram in too much at once. You might say that about “Goodbye,” the season 3 finale, but in this case that approach seemed about right. It’s an episode about graduation, and graduation is something that, no matter how much you plan for and anticipate it, still goes too fast. Graduating is something you do, but in the moment it feels like something that happens to you, suddenly and all at once, like going over a waterfall.

The idea of a talk show at 10 (central) is interesting to me. He’s not exactly going up against other talk shows, since that’s when local news is playing. There’s probably a market for people wanting to watch a talk show instead of their local news. /shrug
