Restitution to Louis C.K.

We’d all like to forget the 2006 HBO sitcom Lucky Louie, which I (and most other critics) rightfully panned when it came out. I don’t regret trashing the show, but I have always felt a little bad about simply because, in other formats, Louis C.K. is a really funny guy. In the spirit of generosity, then, I point you to this hilarious clip (which I sadly can’t embed) of Louis ranting to Conan O’Brien that nobody appreciates technology. On people’s impatience with slow data rates on their cellphones: “Give it a second! It’s going to space!”

You will never ride an airplane the same way again. Well, yes, you will. But you’ll realize that you shouldn’t.

I never saw Lucky Louie (HBO is for the folks on the hill), but I agree that Louis C.K. is surprisingly funny. That Conan clip is fabulous. Also, I remember seeing some bit he did concerning duck vaginas (can I say “vaginas” on here? Oh well, that’s twice), and it was hi-larious.

I don’t care how much people hated his show, I freaking love it. Sure the sets were terrible, and the acting pretty poor, but I’m pretty sure it was shot live so I can get past it. My friends and I still quote that show… unfortunately this is probably not the proper place for an example. Filthy show… but funny!
