Big media companies listen when Tuned In speaks! Kind of! Or I like to pretend they do!

A few days ago, I TV-Polled you as to what cancelled series you’d like to see re-cast and given a second chance on TV, a la ABC’s Cupid. For my part, I mentioned, I’d love to see Wonderland—Peter Berg’s excellent 2000 drama set in a psychiatric hospital, canned by ABC after two episodes—brought back for another try.

It hasn’t been. But DirecTV is doing the next best thing: all eight episodes of the show, including six that never aired, will run on its 101 Network (current home of Berg’s Friday Night Lights) starting Jan. 14.

The only hitch: I do not have DirecTV. But clearly the company has read about my recent woes with TiVo and Time Warner Cable and has made this deal solely to lure me over. The gauntlet has been thrown, TWC!

Wow! Any chance at aiming your obviously powerful voodoo at a DVD company to release it?
Now I have to find friends with Direct-TV and tell them they are going to be seeing me a lot over those 8 weeks!
