We’re a fickle bunch, TV critics, and the demand for our attention is intense. So the publicists of various TV networks drive themselves to ever-greater heights of creativity to package their DVDs with various swag items to pique our interest. Case in point: TNT’s upcoming heist-caper drama Leverage, a screener for which recently arrived accompanied by a can of “Leverage Beverage”:
It is apparently meant to be drinkable, although it does not go into detail over what the beverage is. And I cannot entirely be sure that I do not have mortal enemies in the TNT PR department. For now, then, the can will remain on my desk unopened. And I can report that Leverage has more vitamin B6 than almost any show on television.
