Pole to Pole

Over the years, people have sometimes complimented me on my articles for Slate (when I was actually writing for Salon), mentioned my work in The New Yorker (for which I don’t work) or told me they read a book of mine (that I did not write). For all these incidents I can thank the insightful James Surowiecki and people’s tendency to think that all Polish (or at least Slavic) surnames look alike. Anyway, because of our accidental kinship I feel obligated to point out that the New Yorker’s business columnist, who is not me, now has a blog too. A good one. About business things. If he happens to blog any opinions about Lost, I take no responsibility for them.
