The Morning After: Mind Over Matter

There are, if you look at it generously, two successful new network shows in fall 2008. Strangely, they are on at the same time. We’ve talked about Fringe a fair amount here—I still have last night’s on Tivo—but not so much CBS’s The Mentalist. I liked it better than I expected when I first saw it, but had the feeling that having seen one episode, I had probably seen them all. Was I wrong? And were you thinking that you could say exactly the same thing about Fringe? Tell me. I’m not a mind reader!
