More Obamopportunism: Wear Your Bias On Your Sleeve

CNN just aired an ad for this T-shirt. In this case the bias is more for making money off history than anything: those of other political persuasions are welcome to buy Naked Cowboy Predicts McCain Landslide instead.

But really, what can top the tear-jerking inspiration of Higher Income Voters Swayed By Obama? Those probably being the citizens most likely to blow 15 bucks on a T-shirt from CNN.com.

[Update: Fairness requires disclosing that, as I write this, my time.com blog page is displaying an ad for this Time commemorative. Change for us all! Or rather, 19 bucks and change for us all!]

I don’t get it. “Inspires”? I thought he’d ACHIEVED the victory, not inspired it. I think his grandma may have inspired it, in that she inspired him to be the man he is.
“Obama inspires, achieves historic victory” would have been better. OK, /grammarnazi.

Long time reader, first time commenter (is that a word?). James, I have long appreciated your candor and honesty in your writing, particularly when it comes to politics. I voted differently from you in the election, but I enjoyed reading your political writing as much as anyone else on the internet. And I am glad to see that you are calling out both sides of the political spectrum and the media for their respective inanities.

(On a side note – I first started watching How I Met Your Mother after reading your blog and it is now one of my favorite shows. Thanks for introducing it to me. And while this is embarrassing to admit, it took me an entire season before I realized that the only reason Ted refers to “Aunt” Robin when discussing her in front of his children is because they were friends. I thought for an entire season that once Robin’s sister showed up that would be the woman Ted would marry.)
