On the new 90210, a black guy raised by a white family attempts to fit in to the exclusive, largely white world of Beverly Hills teen society. In the Nov. 4 election, a black guy raised by a white family attempts to fit in to the exclusive, largely white club of U.S. Presidents.

Worried that you’d have to choose between the two stories? Worry no longer! Thanks to The CW, you can have it all:

October 21, 2008 (Burbank, CA) – The CW will be the only broadcast network airing regular programming on election night, Tuesday, November 4, with original episodes of freshman series “90210” and “Privileged,” along with special election updates.

To ensure viewers can watch their favorite shows without missing election results, both “90210” and “Privileged” will deliver shortened episodes, giving stations time to air two local election updates per hour. Ninety percent of the network’s affiliates will be participating with the cut-in opportunities.

If CBS Corporation knows its corporate synergy, it will soon also announce that Katie Couric will cut in to her election coverage with updates on 90210 and Privileged.
