* Bravo, the “what Project Runway?” network, announces American Artist, a Runway-style art competition; a Top Chef spinoff; and Fashion House, a clothing-design competition. Because it was about time Bravo got one of those. And The Real Housewives of Atlanta are unveiled.

* Jimmy Fallon to use Internet as training wheels.

* At least one guy other than David E. Kelley thinks there’s a legitimate reason for Boston Legal to get nominated for Emmys every year. Sadly, that man runs the TV academy.

* The CW’s strategy for its 90210 remake: take a cheesy teen soap, throw a mountain of actual talent at it (Freaks & Geeks, Arrested Development and The Wire alumni)—plus Shannen Doherty—and see what happens.

* Edie Falco—who was a mind-blowing dramatic actress in The Sopranos and a so-so one in 30 Rock—will star in a dark comedy for Showtime.

* Having escaped seeming death, Friday Night Lights will return on DirecTV and NBC, and Jason Katims is surprisingly loose-lipped about plans for the upcoming season.
