The news lately has been full of former Hillary Clinton workers moving on to new employment, and you can now add one more to the list. Reports are that Amy Poehler, who at one point seemed to have a lock on impersonating the president through at least January 2013, will leave Saturday Night Live to star in NBC’s spinoff of The Office.
Which, incidentally, will apparently no longer be a spinoff of The Office. The show, writes Bill Carter in the New York Times, “will be the next project of the creative team behind ‘The Office’ but is not now expected to be a direct spinoff of that series… It may have some stylistic similarities, but none of the characters from “The Office” will be moving to the new series.” Anyone hoping that Creed would move to Seattle to host a radio show will have to dream on.
