So… ABC gave critics the first two episodes of Lost season 4. [Smirks.] Just thought I’d mention that.
What can I say about them? ABC sent the screeners with a vast list of spoiler-y type items that they ask critics not to mention–at least a few of which seem to be fairly common knowledge in the Lost Discussion community. But they have a point. Enough people want to watch the season premiere Thursday in a pristine, unspoiled state that I’ll keep my comments vague. For now I’ll just say that, whereas the beginnings of seasons 2 and 3 involved a kind of rebooting of the show–introducing the Hatch, then the Others’ community–and each took a while to get rolling, season 4 fairly slingshots forward from the momentum of the season 3 finale.
I’ve said too much already! But surely there must be some cryptic, tantalyzing, yet uninformative tease I can leave you with. I’ll phrase it in the form of an LDG question: What are the Whispers?
