How well do we really know each other? I mean sure, you know what I watch on TV and I know what you watch on TV. But heretical as it is to say it, there are other things in life besides TV. You’re all people of strong opinions and distinct tastes: What’s on your iPod, on your bookshelf, in your kitchen?

I’ll start. Here are a few non-TV things that made my personal whatever list in 2007.

* No Country for Old Men. Callllll it.
* McLovin!
* Then We Came to the End, by Joshua Ferris. Like watching The Office, but with pages.
* Finally eating at Peter Luger, after 15 years of living in Brooklyn. Mmmmmmmmmeat.
* The Nike+ iPod Nano attachment. Exercise plus data! Jockdom and geekdom, together at last!
* LCD Soundsystem, Sound of Silver. Only partly because Jim Murphy went to high school with Mrs. Tuned In.
* Joining Bonny Doon’s DEWN wine club. Because (1) a focus on weird grape varieties and peculiar methods, (2) very cool labels, and (3) mail that gets you drunk!
* Time.com finally turning on the comments function on Tuned In, and getting to meet you people.

Your turn. What did you love (or hate) in 2007 that wasn’t TV? (It doesn’t even need to be from 2007.) As Morrissey once said, “There’s more to life than books, you know / But not much more.” But he meant to say “TV.”
